410 Festivals

410 Old Sarum 19th-20th June

An exciting re-enactment event in the beautiful and historically important setting of Old Sarum. Planned to include big combat pieces, living history encampments, a display of late Roman surgery and a pagan Germanic burial ceremony. Full details to follow.

Verulamium Festival

The main event is planned to be an open-air public festival in Verulam Park to tie in with the St. Albans Festival, featuring Late Roman/Dark Age re-enactments.

Caerleon Festival

Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th July 10am – 5pm. Re-enactment in the Amphitheatre. King Arthur: Camelot to Caerleon Late Roman and Arthurian Display. Late Roman and Arthurian re-enactment, with Living History, crafts, food, talks and Children’ activities.

 

        

2010 Comitatus, Northern England

Re-enactment group Comitatus are planning a number iof events to commemorate 410, including:

10/11 July Ribchester Roman Festival. Cavalry, infantry and artillery performing alongside the Leg. II Aug.

22/25 July Senhouse Museum Roman Festival, Maryport. Cavalry, artillery, infantry, LH.

29/30 August BH Sewerby Hall, Bridlington. Cavalry, infantry and artillery by the seaside for the biggest show of the year.
